Call of Duty XP Returns in September, Features Largest Championship Prize Pool

After a five-year hiatus, Call of Duty XP is going to return this September to Inglewood, California. The convention is the largest Call of Duty fan-event around, attracting the franchise’s monstrous player-base in hordes.

Activision has announced that attendees will be able to go hands-on with this year’s new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare from Infinity Warfare. Additionally, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: Black Ops III will also be both present on the show-floor for players to experience.

In terms of content available, the publisher has confirmed that the multiplayer portions to all three games will be accessible to attendees. This includes both the online and Zombies modes for Infinite Warfare, and the fourth DLC pack for Black Ops III. Fans of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be happy to know that not only will they be able to experience the remastered single-player campaign, but also the multiplayer.

The highlight of the Call of Duty XP convention this year will be the Call of Duty World League Championship which will host 32 teams from around the world. A prize pool of $2 million is up for grabs, the largest in Call of Duty Championship history.

Call of Duty XP 2016 is going to take place from September 2-4. It will pave the way for the release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Note that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not see to a standalone release and will infact be available through the purchase of the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare.
