Dead Rising 4 Announced for This Year’s Holiday Season

Leaked beforehand, Dead Rising 4 has been officially confirmed at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press briefing for a simultaneous release on Xbox and PC this holiday season.

The new game in the series is set 16 years after the events of the first Dead Rising game. Our favorite zombie slasher Frank West is back in Willamette, Colorado, where he will be going up against new zombie enemies. The released trailer gives us a glimpse at “the Fresh”, zombies that turn right before your eyes and “exhibit superior speed and ferocity”. There’s also “the Evo” which moves around like predatory animals and has superior strength.

Dead Rising 4 will release with cooperative support for up to four players. This will give you an opportunity to combine weapons and vehicles with your friends. Player will also get access to EXO suits, which Frank can wear for super strength and extra firepower.

Rumors pertaining to Dead Rising 4’s existence have been making rounds for some time now. The game is intended to reignite appeal brought by the first game, and perhaps will endorse some nostalgic moments as well.

The last Dead Rising 3 was announced as an Xbox One exclusive title, but later arrived on PC after a year. While a concrete release date is still pending, Dead Rising 4 will have no such platform-exclusivity.
