Gears of War 4 Pre-Order Bonuses Pay Homage to the Franchise

Microsoft has today announced a new pre-order bonus for Gears of War 4 that is going to pay homage to key characters from the franchise.

Called “Brothers to the End” Elite Gear Pack, owners are going to get access to the following three unique characters:

  • “Tomorrow Anya” is named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.
  • “Old Man Marcus” features an older Marcus Fenix as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.
  • “Zombie Dom” proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.

Additionally, the add-on pack also introduces the Gold Wave Lancer and Gold Wave Gnasher; gold weapon skins that have become sort of a tradition for every Gears of War installment.

Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack is going to be available for all editions of the game, as well as for those who have already pre-ordered. Furthermore, Microsoft wants to remind everyone that securing an early copy of Gears of War 4 will also net owners the previously announced Vintage Del Pack, which includes the Vintage Del character model, unique weapon skins and retailer-specific items.

There are several incentives in place to have you pre-order Gears of War 4. If the aforementioned bonuses are not enough to convince you, know that purchasing the game early will also get you the entire Gears of War collection (from Xbox 360) for use on Xbox One. This list includes Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and the recently released, Gears of War: Judgement.

Gears of War 4 is scheduled to release worldwide on October 11, 2016, for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
