The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Receives Patch 1.3 Tomorrow, Patch Notes Included

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to receive a new patch tomorrow which promises to further enhance the overall adventure of the White Wolf.

Dwarf banker Vimme Vivaldi is receiving “a fresh look, though the patch notes do not go into any details about what changes to expect. In the gameplay department, several issues are being fixed and values balanced. Missing descriptions have been replaced, bugged recipes can now be bought, certain fight scenes can now be skipped, specific NPCs and quest-lines have been addressed. The loot system has been tweaked but we’re unsure in what way. Killing blows are now going to generate the correct amount of Adrenaline. Missing textures and other related visual bugs have also been corrected.

The new Patch 1.3 shows love to the game’S GUI as well. PlayStation controller prompt icons have been added and soome issues with Steam controllers eradicated. A major problem with the New Game + mode has finally been fixed. Craftable items are now going to show correct level requirements.

Finally, there are over a dozen fixes and improvements to various quests in the game. Players being blocked by the environment or the concerned NPC can now complete their quests in peace. Other bugs that randomly restricted players from completing their quests have also been addressed.

Do note that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year edition is scheduled to launch tomorrow as well. According to the developer, the edition will come updated to the latest patch. This means that owners will not have to update their games to tomorrow’s 1.3 update.

The Game of the Year edition is going to set you back by $50 across all three platforms. It features the base-game and all previously released downloadable content packs, including the two major expansions: Hearts of Iron, and Blood and Wine.

Unfortunately, those who opt to purchase the Game of the Year edition will not be able to carry forth their current progress. Owners will have to start their adventure from scratch. The developer has confirmed that it will also feature its own Achievements, meaning that you’ll have to unlock all of them all over again.
