The ongoing Gamescom 2016 event has seen Ubisoft outline its release plans for three of its upcoming virtual reality games.
The company’s entry into the virtual reality realm will begin on October 18 with the release of Eagle Flight on the Oculus Rift. It will then release on PlayStation VR on November 8 and finally on HTC Vive on December 20. As you can imagine from the name alone, players glide through iconic landmarks of Paris as eagles. The developer has already confirmed a single-player and multiplayer mode. Consider the VR title as simple exploration to ease the mind, or you can share that precious experience with a friend by going online.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew is the next game in line, developed by Red Storm Entertainment. It will release simultaneously on all three VR platforms on November 29. Fans of the franchise will be waiting anxiously to get their hands on the game. Players are going to fill the role of a captain aboard a Federation Starfleet ship, issuing orders to other crew members and exploring the uncharted sectors of space.
The third and final game in Ubisoft’s list is Werewolves Within. Scheduled for a simultaneous release across all three VR platforms on December 6, the title features mystery solving. Players sit around a fire in the medieval village of Gallowston, solving clues and deducing which of them is a werewolf.
