Watch Dogs 2 PC Delayed, Needs More Work

The PC version of Watch Dogs 2 is being delayed because of the developer’s stern commitment to upholding quality standards. However, there’s little reason to fret. The delay itself isn’t much. Watch Dogs 2 for PC is being pushed back by just two weeks.

In a blog post, Ubisoft stated that the two weeks of additional time is crucial to ensure “Watch Dogs 2 runs smoothly across a broad range of hardware”. The PC version of Watch Dogs 2 boasts a ton of improvements and features over its console counterparts. According to the developer, “extra polish” is being added to these very exclusive features.

Alongside the delay, Ubisoft also confirmed that the PC version will launch with support for 4K and “Ultra Textures” as well as uncapped frame-rates. That’s a lot to process. Only the very powerful rigs will be able to run the game on Ultra Textures. Ramping that up to 4K and with uncapped frame-rates, we’ll definitely be needing some serious firepower here.
