Electronic Arts’ EA Play event saw BioWare take the stage to share a new trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Comprising of some minor gameplay footage and comments from the developers, the trailer promises a new adventure for fans that is going to take them “further than ever before” in search for a new home for humanity. General Manager Aaryn Flynn stated that the search expedition is going to take players into the unknown corners of vast space where humanity is the alien. The only question now is, just “how far will we go?”

The events of Mass Effect: Andromeda are set “far away” from the original Mass Effect trilogy. BioWare also revealed that the game is going to feature an online component, details of which are probably going to arrive at a later date. Additionally, Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to host new species and alien races, with a multitude of environments set across various planets.

Mass Effect: Andromeda was originally slated for release this fall but has now been pushed back to early 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. An exact release date is still pending but EA has promised that there will be no more delays.
