Nintendo’s presence at E3 2016 may have lacked in interest from fans, but the company had still something very major to show.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was revealed to be the complete title for the upcoming Legend of Zelda game. In addition, Nintendo released a new trailer comprising scenes from the beautiful open-world. Link is shown exploring various locations, taming a horse, hunting, cooking, crafting, and performing various other activities.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime stated that “this is easily one of the biggest experiences ever created by Nintendo”. He added that the development team utilized a completely different approach for the game, making it a distinct installment in the iconic franchise.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is going to launch for Wii U and NX next year in March. The game was originally slated for release last year, but its absence at E3 2015 was a clear indicator that there was need for additional development time. In April, the developer announced that the game would be delayed until March 2017. The reasoning given was that this would allow the title to launch simultaneously on both Wii U and the company’s upcoming new console, dubbed the NX.
