Ubisoft has released a new gameplay walkthrough of Watch Dogs 2 that showcases impressive open-world free-roaming elements as well as online multiplayer potential.
The walkthrough video spans for nearly twenty minutes and continues from the original gameplay reveal at Gamescom 2016 earlier this month. Commenting on the sheer scale of the game, Ubisoft stated that the new demonstration is just a “small slice” of the “expansive” San Francisco Bay Area. There’s a lot of activity, exploration and discovery to experience, and the developer is hoping to reveal more in the weeks to come.
In the meantime, players can follow the new protagonist Marcus Holloway as he takes on missions in San Francisco and Oakland. Animation Director Colin Graham provides a continuous narration throughout the video to help highlight the major features of Watch Dogs 2.
The environment not only looks beautiful but also encompasses landmarks like Coit Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf. The video progresses to display gameplay mechanics as Holloway pilots a drone to get an eagle’s eye view of the city, and later uses enhanced hacking skills in his mission. You can also get a good look at character customization options and other world activities.
Finally, Ubisoft demonstrates the game’s online multiplayer component by giving us a preview of the recently revealed Bounty Hunter mode as well as the cooperative mode.
Watch Dogs 2 is scheduled for a release on November 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
