PlayStation Experience 2016 is setting up shop inside the Anaheim Convention Center, located in the beautiful city of Anaheim, California.
The third iteration of the annual fan event promises to bring a spectacular show on December 3-4. This year, attendees can expect to get hands-on time with the recently announced PlayStation 4 Pro on true 4K resolution television sets. The show-floor will also feature dozens of PlayStation VR demos. In addition to that, attendees can take part in various developer panels, go through a plethora of PlayStation merchandise booths, marvel at other PlayStation showcasing, and more.
PlayStation Experience is Sony’s way of saying thanks to its consumer-base by bringing everyone together under one roof for a grand event. It’s also a stage where Sony announces news regarding upcoming and presently available games. That’s something to look forward to for those unable to attend the event in person.
Last year’s PlayStation Experience brought details and trailers for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Street Fighter V, Nioh, and Rez Infinite. PlayStation Experience 2016 is likely to follow suit, though it’s up for debate as to what games will make the cut.
The Last Guardian is possibly guaranteed a new trailer. With it being delayed, again, Sony needs to continuously remind everyone that work is continuing as planned. There’s also the new God of War. It’s a rare expectation, but the title could sign off the year with a presence at PSX.
Lastly, Capcom Cup will be returning to PlayStation Experience this year. Some of the best Street Fighter V players from the Capcom Pro Tour will be competing against each other for a prize pot of more than $250,000. We’ll finally see who ends up being crowned the undisputed Street Fighter V world champion.
