The Coalition has released a minor update for Gears of War 4 that adjusts the number of Credits you can earn in the game.
According to the developer, monitoring player data and considering player feedback has made it apparent that Credits are too much of a grind. Hence, an update now makes it easier for you to acquire the in-game currency used to purchase booster cards that directly impacts skills and performance in the game.
Furthermore, the Coalition has also reduced the cost of Elite Pack Credit from the previous 4000 to the new 3500 tag. Additionally, match completion bonus credits in Versus Multiplayer has been increased.
Do note that you earn credits regardless of whether you win a multiplayer match or not. Of course, victory awards you with significantly more in-game currency and XP. Thanks to the new update, players can earn credits and in turn unlock items quicker.
“This should provide a higher and more consistent Credit earn rate across our modes, with the levelling milestone drops of 500 Credits and Credit bounties also helping you on your road to your next pack,” The Coalition said in a new blog post.
The developer also points out that Gears of War 4 currently has a visual bug that may display “you earn 0 Credits from your match bonus”. Rest assured, a correct amount of match bonus credits and XP are still awarded. This visual bug is likely to be fixed in the next patch.
