A New Powerhouse?

In the Ashes Of Singularity benchmarks, an unknown GPU codenamed 687F:C1 has been found. The GPU has not been released yet but judging from how Ashes Of Singularity registers unknown graphics cards. This could be the RX 490 Vega 10. But there is no way of knowing for sure.

The R9 490 Vega 10 will not be a dual processor GPU and will most likely be featuring the new Vega 10 architecture which is in the works by AMD for a very long time.

It is rumored that this is the Vega 10 since AOTS is a GPU and CPU intensive game so it makes sense for the folks over at AMD to test out the GPU with this game.

For this specific benchmark, it seems like the Intel i7-5930K has been used. This is an overclockable processor and is paired with a bulky 32 GB’s of RAM. From this picture, it can be clearly seen that the card performs surprisingly well at 1080p.

Here is how the MSI GTX 1080 performs. You can compare this to the RX 490 Vega 10 to get an idea of what we are dealing with here.

It is worth mentioning that most analysts believe that it is too late for AMD’s new card since the 1080 has already hit the market for a very long time. However, the GPU does seem to be performing well and it is only a matter of time before it is officially released.
