Majority of the reviews released so far have picked up Nioh as a major contender to receive the prestigious game of the year award for 2017.
Those who managed to get their hands on the game early have only been singing praise for the long in-development action role-playing experience from Team Ninja. As such, Nioh is yet to leave anyone disappointed.
Combining popular elements from the Souls franchise and Bloodborne, as well as Ninja Gaiden, Nioh features an unforgettable adventure that is only accentuated by its fierce combat system that players must quickly get used to. There’s no room for mindless attacks and the developer has managed to include a clever sense of style and strategy at every instance.
Going past the gameplay elements, Nioh has also proven to be visually appealing. The game looks beautiful, the combat system is satisfying, only a bare minimum of technical issues have been sighted, and the narration is commendable.
Nioh is scheduled to hit shelves today for PlayStation 4. It already hosted three public demos and the developer listened to critical feedback from each one of them. While the community still had good things to say about the game, Team Ninja refused to scrap even the most tiniest of concerns.
There is no reason for you to not add this title to your bolstering library of games.

In other news, there’s a player-versus-player (PvP) multiplayer mode in the works for Nioh. The bad news is that the mode will not be available on release. However, Team Ninja has promised that the PvP feature will be added later to the game through a free update. More information will be released to the public in the coming months.
