Initially released last year as an exclusive addition to the library of PlayStation VR, Batman: Arkham VR is now breaking away to arrive on PC this month.
According to an announcement, the virtual reality take on the series will release for PC with complete support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. In addition, the game will also feature full gamepad support which means that players can opt to utilize DualShock 4, Xbox One and Steam controllers if they wish.
PC players now have the opportunity to experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World’s Greatest Detective, and delve deep into a tense Batman: Arkham mystery.
Enter a virtual reality world where you must think like Batman and utilize his legendary gadgets, unraveling a plot that threatens the lives of his closest allies.
There has been no mention of any additional or exclusive content, or other new features. Batman: Arkham VR will release for PC in the same form it has been on consoles since its original release.
Announced last year at E3 2016 during Sony’s press conference, Batman: Arkham VR was received warmly by enthusiasts. Granted that the virtual reality market is still underwhelming, but among the games available, Batman: Arkham VR stands out proudly.
Players become the Dark Knight himself, exploring iconic locations that we have come to experience with the original trilogy. However, the main difference here is the “immersive” experience that takes the sense of bringing justice to a whole new level.
Batman: Arkham VR is scheduled to arrive on April 25 and will be available from major digital platforms.
