The system requirements of Outlast 2 are pretty modest, asking a mere 8 GB of RAM and a two-generation old video card with at least 1.5 GB of VRAM to get the most optimal experience. Those with the recommended setup will be able to easily achieve a stable 60 frames-per-second at 1080p resolution.

Outlast 2 is set in the same universe as the first game, but with different characters and a different setting. According to Red Barrels Studio, the sequel will feature a “twisted new journey into the depths of the human mind and its dark secrets.”

Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come. Horror rises from desperation and blind faith. OUTLAST 2 will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do.

Following the success of the first game, the developer announced the sequel in October 2014. Outlast 2 is scheduled to release on April 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
