This year AMD has significantly jumped in technology from CPU designs to upcoming VEGA architecture based GPUs. AMD has not yet highlighted any exact date for its next-generation of Vega GPUs, but they are expected to launch sometime in June. There is a lot more of technology coming from AMD later this year and AMD will highlight the roadmap on May 16, do not miss out!
The top executives of AMD will discuss the roadmap on May 16, 2017 while sharing an insight on future plans for AMD Vega, Navi & Zen+. AMD Vega is already portrayed as next big thing in graphics card generation, while AMD has even plans to further the scalability of Vega by introducing Navi in 2018.
Navi will become the next big thing after AMD Vega architecture. Vega based GPUs will be focused more on HBM2 for enhanced performance, with Navi, the next focus will be on memory and scalability. Nothing more is known as of yet about AMD Navi, but so far we know that it will be built on Globalfoundries’ 7nm FinFET. Navi will launch sometime in 2018-2019. We are excited to see what AMD has to tell about Navi on May 16, 2017.
AMD has not only plans for its GPU architecture, but, it has also plans for its next gen Zen CPUs. Zen+ will be the next generation of CPU lineup, which will perform 40 percent better than current Zen CPUs. Zen+ is a confirmed as a successor to Zen CPUs and it will launch over a period of 3 to 5 years from now. We are eager to wait till AMD decides to shade the light on the roadmap for Zen+ on May 16.
There is little we know about AMD Vega, Navi & Zen+ and we are highly curious to know more about AMD’s vision to compete in CPU and GPU market. Since the launch of Ryzen, AMD has significantly gained momentum in CPU market and we cannot wait to see the same in GPU market with the launch of Vega.
Stay tuned on May 16, 2017 and we will cover more news on AMD Vega, Navi & Zen+. Let us know or share your thoughts on Vega, Navi & Zen+ in comments section below.
