The recent information by videocardz claims details about Skylake X-series leaked Core i9, Core i7 and Core i5 processors. Videocardz mentioned that the leak is taken from multiple sources. However, we speculate that the authenticity of the news will come out soon at Computex 2017.
The Skylake X-Series leaked information actually gives away flagship CPU from Intel. A 18-core Core i9-7980XE CPU information leak is hard to digest from a leak. But, since AMD is getting the market traction with its Ryzen lineup, a higher core-count Intel processor was inevitable. With the new Skylake X-Series leaked Core i9-7980XE processor by Intel, AMD’s 16-core threadripper will face a serious threat in CPU power performance and market competition.
The leak also covers information on Skylake X-series processors, which includes Core i7 and Core i5 Skylake X processors other than Core i9. The Skylake X-series will pack more core options from 4, 6, 8, 10 to 14, 16 and 18. The Skylake X-series will also have Intel Hyper-Threading Technology.
Since the leak mentions a LGA 2066 Socket, we remain adamant to see the X299 motherboards from AIBs at Computex 2017 that will offer the most compatability with Skylake X-series processors.
These leak and rumors about Skylake X-series processors are not verified as of yet, till Intel decides to step up and announce the Skylake X lineup officially. Until then, we remain in ambiguity about the highly anticipated Core i9 and promising Skylake X-series processors.
