Previously, developers ditched the idea of annually making a Need For Speed game. This was put into effect after the feedback Need For Speed received from the community. Later, developers decided to take a break and come up with something that fans will want to wait for. Now, we have the first, although short details on what next Need For Speed game will be about.

Based on the feedback received in NFS reboot of 2015 game, Ghost Games have said that the next NFS title will not require an always online connection. Yes, you will now be able to play single player / story mode of game without remaining always online.

Regarding car customization, Ghost Games said that:

We’re committed to customization having a home within the Need for Speed series. It’s not going away and it will play as strong a role as ever as we move forward into the next game and beyond

This is something fans always love about in a Need For Speed game, even in NFS 2015, car customization took away most of the time of the community in NFS world.

Ghost Games also mentioned that intense cop chases are also the part of the next game.

There’s nothing more satisfying than getting into a cop chase and feeling the heat on your tail as you tear it up through the city. Cops in pursuit, racers up ahead and then out of nowhere BAM! They bring a Rhino to a street race. You got this?

Summing up, so now we will get a NFS with complete offline mode, a car customization based installment with street races and intense cop chases. This is exactly we hoped to see in NFS 2015, but, nevertheless we could not get it then. Hopefully, this time around, Ghost Games will deliver the title every NFS fan has been waiting since long.

NFS is due out later this year, we will come to know more on the game at EA PLAY, stay tuned.
