Intel Coffee Lake series will mark the 8th generation of Intel processors after its predecessor Kaby Lake. The new Coffee Lake series will counter its rival Ryzen 7 series of processors, which is itself a huge threat in face of Intel performance processors. Reportedly, the Coffee Lake series will come out before the end of this year.
Previously, the reports that surfaced all over internet mentioned that Coffee Lake processors will have 6 cores and 12 threads. However, the recent leaked information adds the authenticity to the previous reports. This leak shows an Intel Coffee Lake processor will have 6-cores and 12-threads with a base clock of 3.1 GHz and boost clock of 4.2 GHz. The processor will have a TDP of 81 Watt.
The 81W TDP is not fixed as there will be different variants of Intel Coffee Lake series that will have lesser core counts and threads than the leaked information. This is highlighted in the leaked information given in the image below:
Nothing at this point is for sure till Intel comes up and officially announces the hardware specifications of Intel Coffee Lake. Till then the rumor will do for Intel fan boys.
