Hurricane Harvey has affected millions of people in Houston, Texas. Many have been forced to fled their homes to reach higher ground, while others have scattered across the state into different shelters. The excessive flooding has submerged everything in sight and resources are already running low.

The Bungie Foundation is calling everyone to take part in the relief efforts for Houston, Texas. An exclusive emblem for Destiny 2 has been put on sale on the official Bungie Store as a specially-commissioned commemorative pin. All profits will go straight to Direct Relief, a charity organization that is working around the clock to provide aid for people affected by the storm.

The developer is also calling fans of the science-fiction franchise to donate directly as well. Having an exclusive emblem in Destiny 2 sounds like a good enough reward for helping out, but it should not just stop there.

“There are many other ways to get involved. Even if a pin or emblem isn’t your thing, we urge you to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey in your own way. Get involved. Donate to a charity of your choice. Help spread the word and support those who are helping in whatever ways they can,” Bungie wrote.

A couple of years back, the Bungie Foundation hosted a similar campaign to bring relief to millions of people in Nepal that suffered through devastating earthquakes. The platform managed to raise over $1 million funds.

Destiny 2 is scheduled to release on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The timetable gives Guardians at least a week to participate in the relief efforts and then pick up their adventures in the highly anticipated sequel.
