Nvidia in another series of updates brings in fixes and performance tweaks in a recent 385.28 WHQL drivers. The drivers were made readily available for auto download on August 14, 2017. Just in case, you missed the auto download of drivers, check here for Windows 10 385.28 WHQL update drivers.

This update also fixes few known bugs and performance tweaks of select video games. As such is a reported bug (1954033) from DOOM running on GTX 1070, the gpu remains running in high performance even if you close the game. This is now fixed in 385.28 WHQL update drivers.

The previous WHQL driver update caused performance drop in Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. The recent 385.28 WHQL driver update has fixed that reported (1955894) problem also.
