The new ink-splattering Splatoon 2 is yet another major success story for Nintendo and its recently released hybrid console.
According to sales data released earlier today by the NPD Group, the sequel was the best-selling game for the month of July in the United States. It topped the list, followed by Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy in second place. The incredibly Grand Theft Auto V came afterwards, with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild making up the remaining top five.
The most remarkable fact about this achievement is that Splatoon 2 registered as the best-selling game last month in the United States without accounting for digital sales. Exact figures have not been revealed, but it is safe to say that the game has crunched some serious revenue numbers for Nintendo.
