The Crew 2 will officially release worldwide next year on March 16 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The announcement was made by Ubisoft today as part of a press conference at Gamescom 2017. The publisher also revealed pre-order details for the open-world racer.
To begin with, anyone who secures an early copy will get to play three days earlier than everyone else. There are three different editions to choose from, and pre-ordering any of them guarantees access to the Legendary Motors Pack, which comes with the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016 and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 2017.
Besides the standard edition, there are the deluxe and gold editions. Here is what each of them includes:
- The $70 Deluxe Edition comes with the Legendary Motors Pack and the Motorsports Deluxe Pack, which includes the Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck 2017, the Abarth 500 2008 Monster Truck Edition, the Pilatus PC-21 aerobatics plane, and three “unique racing outfits” for your character to wear.
- The Gold Edition unlocks on March 13 and comes with the season pass, the Legendary Motors Pack, and the Motorsports Deluxe Pack. The digital version of the Gold edition costs $100 and the physical version (which also comes with a steelbook) costs $110.
The Crew 2 is scheduled to host a beta later this year. A date has not been confirmed as of yet but registrations are being taken in on the official website. Note that you must secure a copy of the game in order to participate.
