It has been mere hours since Destiny 2 was officially launched worldwide but the first Nightfall Strike has already gone live for players who love to take up challenges.

Posting on the official website, Bungie announced that interested Guardians will need to “shut down the operations of an ironmonger providing weapons to the Red Legion.” The Nightfall Strike is called “The Arms Dealer” and may surprise even those who believe they are prepared.

More details have not been shared and the developer has chosen to keep the modifiers under wraps. Hence, it falls on to the players to discover them firsthand. However, some of the challenges have been ousted and include the following:

  • Speed Of Dark: Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining.
  • Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths.
  • Trash The Thresher: Shoot down a Thresher while fighting Bracus Zahn.

For those unaware, Nightfall Strikes are special versions of the activity that are tweaked by different modifiers to make it harder to complete. They rotate on a weekly basis, giving everyone more chances in the future to try their luck.

Completing a Nightfall Strike naturally grants better rewards. However, the increased difficulty makes it necessary that players communicate with their team members and work together. Considering that Destiny 2 was just released, it is unlikely that anyone would be able to complete the first Nightfall Strike anytime soon. It will take some time before the necessary gear can be obtained in order to even stand against the ironmonger.

Destiny 2 is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It released without in-game Clan features, which are said to arrive after “the first several days” of launch. In the mean time, players must head to the official Bungie website to access the said features.
