South Park: The Fractured But Whole has already been delayed twice. Hence, it is comforting to know that the upcoming role-playing game has officially gone gold. This means that the development process has reached fruition and the discs are already being readied at some factory to meet the prescribed release date.
To celebrate the important occasion, Ubisoft has released a new trailer that mocks Kanye West’s late mother, Donda West. It recalls an episode from the television series from back in 2009 where West is depicted as a “gay fish.” The game will see West return in his fish form in order to get his mother into heaven.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole takes place the day after the events of South Park: The Stick of Truth. Those who missed out on the first installment can get a digital copy for free by simply pre-ordering any of the four editions: standard, gold, steelbook, or collector’s. Securing an early copy also means access to an exclusive in-game assistant, Towelie, who will provide helpful advice and commentary when visiting different locations throughout the game.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is scheduled for launch on October 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Similar to the first game, players will create their own hero and backstory by joining Coon & Friends for all sorts of adventures.
