Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Pre-load is now available on Xbox consoles and is around 44gb on Microsoft’s latest machine. The game appeared on the game pass library with the announcement and if you have selected it to download (a nifty feature of the game pass where you can select the announced games pretty early), it should start automatically. Make sure that you have enough space on your console.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a third person action RPG developed by the creators of Ninja Gaiden and Nioh, Team Ninja, and published by Koei Tecmo. The game was announced for release on game pass day one, March 3rd. A demo was released for the game last month, following in the footsteps of Nioh. A new final demo is planned for 24th February which will contain the first two chapters of the game. According to Team Ninja:
“The final demo will feature two early stages of the game that were not featured in the first demo, including Chapter 1: Village of Calamity along with Chapter 2: Two Chivalrous Heroes. Both chapters showcase the thrilling combat and intense fighting of a demon-plagued, fantasy Three Kingdoms, as an anonymous militia soldier fights his way through waves of monsters and enemy soldiers in this Later Han Dynasty epic.
Online multiplayer will also be available in the demo, and by clearing the first chapter and transferring the saved data to the main game, players will earn the in-game item “Crouching Dragon Helmet” upon the game’s release.”
According to the post, save data will be carried into the final version of the game along with a sweet bonus. Nioh games are console exclusives to PlayStation so Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty not only coming to Xbox consoles but to game pass on day one is a very pleasant surprise. Nioh games are like Souls games but have enough personality of their own to stand alongside the greats like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. We at Techdrake believe that Nioh games have far superior combat mechanics as compared to any Souls-like, so we are really excited to jump into this one.
