Big news has come our way as The Pokemon Company have just announced that a Pokemon Presents stream will be live on August 8th.
The news comes to Pokemon fans who have many hopes looking forward as it’s been quite a while since the news has come their way that might be other than the DLC for the newest current Pokemon titles, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. It may verily be the case as it’s not unheard of that news of newer Pokemon games and more is released early.
This is the direct news from Pokemon’s Official Twitter (or X) account:
There is a very peculiar animation this time around for the Presents Announcement trailer, however. As shown in the Twitter video above, the Logo shifts to a somewhat electric aesthetic with a purplish logo for it all, a sort of modern or urban look. This could be a big easter egg or a hint to what the Pokemon Presents stream will hold. This Urban sort of theme directly fits the Gen 5 Unova Region which are technically the next titles of the remake streak that the Pokemon Company is known for, as the previous ones were the Gen 4 ones, preceded by Gen 3 and so on. At the same time, The highlight of the M alphabet and the purple can also mean a certain Pokemon from the Kanto region. It could also mean Mega Pokemon returning.
Maybe there really will be news of the newest upcoming Pokemon titles being remakes of Pokemon Black/White or Black2/White2? Or will there be any sort of other announcement where Mewtwo is present? Mega Evolution is also a favourite, so either way, something big looks to be coming.

It is also to note that the news of August 8th holding a Pokemon Presents steam was leaked very early, alongside a mixture of rumors as well as leaks that consist of many overviews of what future Pokemon titles could be and what they might hold. If the news of the Pokemon Presents stream turned out true, maybe there is more truth in the leaks that are amply spreading on the internet.
Only a few more days left till August 8th when all of this will be soon confirmed.
Aside from this, the Pokemon Presents video will probably hold DLC news for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as news of the Pokemon GO Fest happening right now and ahead through this month. There could be some other special news as well, so fans may get some big surprises if they tune in for the stream.
