The news has just been confirmed with Nintendo announcing on its social platforms that Red Dead Redemption is the next port from Rockstar Games coming to the Nintendo Switch this very month.
The highly acclaimed title will be getting a port for the Nintendo Switch as well as for PlayStation4, but not for PC or any Xbox consoles as of this moment. The first title of the RDR series has accumulated a very old and devoted fanbase over its very years and the game has gone on to be considered one of the best videogames ever release, hence fans are very happy and excited to see it come to the Nintendo Switch. The Undead Nightmare Expansion for RDR will also be included with the port.
Here is the direct announcement trailer from Nintendo’s Twitter Account:
The game comes with a very high ESRB Rating as fans already know what the game has in store. The digital version of the game will be available in the Nintendo eShop on August 17th, with a physical version also releasing in roughly 2 months.

Fans, however, are sceptic to know how the game will run on the Switch, as Rockstar’s previous port of the GTA games had very serious performance issues and plenty of bugs at the time of its release. Some are thinking about whether the game will be in a good enough state to be a good enough experience to pick on the Switch. The sales of the physical edition of the game will also depend heavily on the reception the game gets when it releases in 10 days.
Players who opt to purchase the game digitally will then know whether it’s feasible to have a physical version as well, so it’s safe to assume the news will spread about how the game runs on the Switch.
