The Pokemon Presents stream had many updates to share for all things Pokemon, and for Nintendo Switch Online members, the news has arrived that the original GameBoy title, Pokemon TCG, is available to all Nintendo Switch owners that have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, and it is already available to play.
The news comes alongside Pokemon Stadium 2 making its way to Nintendo Switch Online Plus. Here is the direct announcement from Nintendo of America’s Twitter page:
The news comes with a mixed response as fans were hoping that not just this, but other mainline Pokemon videogame series’ titles would be available via NSO, such as GameBoy’s Pokemon Red and Blue, even Green, and also GameBoyAdvance’s Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red, as well as Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire and their upgraded counterpart, Pokemon Emerald. These older games are one of the most beloved titles as many older fans started their Pokemon videogame experience with these titles that were released years ago, and they were hoping to relive the experience one more time via the Nintendo Switch.

Disappointingly they will have to make do with Pokemon TCG and Pokemon Stadium 2 for now. Pokemon TCG will be available to all Nintendo Switch Online members, however, they will have to upgrade to the Online Plus Expansion Pack membership if they want to play Pokemon Stadium 2.
