The latest Pokemon Presents stream had some big hopes coming around for its fans as many were hoping for some big news from the 35-minute-long stream. Although not containing much information on the future Pokemon videogame series titles, there was a somewhat pleasant announcement of a much loved Nintendo 64 title coming it’s way to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
And it is already available to play for players that have an Online Plus subscription on the Nintendo Switch.
The news arrives alongside the news of the GameBoy’s Pokemon TCG coming to Nintendo Switch Online. Here is the direct news to Nintendo of America’s Twitter page:
Players would note that this title is not going to be available to Switch owners that have the normal Nintendo Switch Online membership, as the Plus membership holds older Nintendo 64 titles as well as others such as GBA games.
It is a hefty rise in the cost from the normal Nintendo Switch Online’s 20$ yearly subscription to the Online Plus’s 50$ one, however, if players feel like it’s worthwhile, they can give the Online Plus membership a go as it has many other exclusive games for players.

The announcement comes as a somewhat disappointment as other mainline Gameboy and GameBoyAdvance Pokemon titles are still not available on the Nintendo Switch, despite many other titles being regularly added to the online subscription service. Does this mean that the Pokemon Company has something up its sleeves for those games with an alternate option rather than adding them to Nintendo Switch Online and Online Plus? No one is sure for now. The future is unknown, however, as there could be something coming sooner or later.
